ABOUT THIS SESSION

Quantum physicists have "rediscovered" the ancient Eastern understanding that all of reality originates from a vast underlying field of energy.  Albert Einstein and many other scientists were frustrated that our Newtonian construct of physical reality does not account for our everyday experiences, including gravity, thought, emotion and intuition.  In the last decade such physicists have developed an expanded paradigm of the physical reality in which we live, of course acknowledging all established observations in Western science, but also providing a logical and mathematically-precise framework accounting for our intellectual, emotional and energetic experiences! We are now watching an evolving Science of Consciousness through the work of talented researchers around the world.

Tong Ren Healing combines complementary elements of modern Western medical science with ancient Eastern insights, resulting in a targeted method of directing natural healing energy to the body. Expanding rapidly throughout the world, its popularity is driven by success at curing or controlling cancers and other debilitating conditions that have not responded to traditional medicine or Eastern therapies, and is currently offered by thousands of practitioners in at least 15 countries and 24 states in the US. It seeks to relieve blockages of energy necessary for maintaining health, and restore the body's natural ability to heal even when illnesses are chronic, disabling or considered "fatal". Tong Ren appears to be particularly effective at treating numerous cancers and debilitating neurologic disorders. It complements other forms of treatment and provides a safe, noninvasive, inexpensive adjunct for those patients in whom traditional regimens have not provided the improvement they need.

Bill Daly, M.D., will begin with a review of the scientific insights noted above, then describe the principles and practice of Tong Ren healing.  Dr. Daly is an integrative physician practicing internal medicine for the last 31 years, and the immediate past-president of the Tong Ren Foundation who continues to serve as the Western Medical Advisor to that group.  He is also one of the four Directors of the Integrative Health Collaborative (previously known as the Collaborative Medicine Working Group at Massachusetts General Hospital).

Tom Tam and a group of Tong Ren practitioners will then demonstrate a "Tong Ren Healing Class", providing an opportunity for you to experience this yourself.  TCM practitioner Tom Tam is a healer, acupuncturist, Chi Gong and Tai Chi expert, writer and poet living in Boston.  He has been evolving Tong Ren healing for more than 25 years, has healed thousands of patients and has trained hundreds of practitioners who share this modality around the world.

The objectives of this presentation include:

1.  Introduce an awareness of a more complete paradigm of our physical reality.

2.  Briefly review developments in the science of consciousness.

3.  Develop an understanding of a scientific basis for energy healing modalities in general.

4.  Develop an insight into a scientific basis of the "placebo effect".

5.  Develop a familiarity with the modality of Tong Ren Healing.

PLEASE NOTE:  This presentation is open to Medical Practitioners (Physicians, nurses etc.) and to Practitioners of Complementary and Alternative Modalities.  There is space for Practitioners only, so unfortunately patients and clients can not be accommodated.

PARKING

Upon entering the building or parking lot, please inform the greeters that we are in the offices of Wayfair on the 24th floor, and they will provide access to the elevators.  If you choose parking in the lot beneath the Christian Science Center Plaza, drive West on Route 9 (Huntington Avenue) and turn right into a brick driveway toward the end of that block, just before reaching Massachusetts Avenue.  Parking is also available across the street at the Prudential Center, and parking may also be found on side streets.  The closest T-Stop is the Prudential.
